Chicken Road free play: the official demo
One hen, four levels and a cash-out button. Get a feel for the game with play money before you decide whether it is worth a cent of your own.
The screen above runs InOut Games' official Chicken Road demo straight from the developer's servers. It is the real game, the same one casinos offer, connected to a balance of pretend money. It only starts loading when you press the button, so this page stays light on mobile data.
You do not need to sign up, give an email address or enter a card. The balance is shown in US dollars because InOut's demo server sets the currency, and it has no cash value. If it runs dry, reload the page and you get a fresh one.
Why bother with the demo?
Chicken Road looks so simple that it is tempting to jump straight in with real money. The demo is where you learn the part that matters: how often each level ends a run, how fast the multiplier climbs and whether you can actually stick to the cash-out point you set. Twenty minutes of free play will tell you more than any review, including ours.

How the demo works, step by step
Load the game
Tap the play button in the demo window. Give it a few seconds on a slower connection while InOut's start screen appears.
Choose a level
Easy, Medium, Hard or Hardcore. The level sets how many steps the road has, from 24 down to 15, and how risky each one is.
Set your stake
Pick the amount you would really bet. Testing with an unrealistic stake makes the demo much less useful.
Walk the hen forward
Each press moves her one lane. After every safe step the cash-out button shows what you would collect right now.
Cash out or lose it
Take the win whenever you like. If a car gets her first, the round ends and that stake is gone.
Demo versus real money
The rules, the levels and the way multipliers grow are identical. Three things can differ at a casino: the currency, which will be AUD rather than US dollars, the minimum and maximum stake, and the top prize per round, which each operator caps in its rules. Check those three on the game's information screen before your first real bet.
Practice that pays off
- Play 50 rounds on Easy with one fixed exit rule, for example cashing out after five steps, and note how many you keep.
- Repeat on Hardcore with the same stake and compare how quickly the balance moves.
- Try ignoring your exit rule for ten rounds and see whether it helped. Usually it does not.
- Time a session. Crash games feel short, but an hour disappears quickly.
If the demo will not start
Ad blockers and strict privacy settings sometimes stop the game frame from loading. Allow this site in your blocker, refresh, or try another browser. The demo is served by InOut, so it can also be briefly unavailable on their side.
Chicken Road questions
Does the Chicken Road demo cost anything?
Not a cent. You play with a virtual balance, there is no account or deposit, and nothing won in the demo can be withdrawn.
Why does the Chicken Road demo show US dollars?
The demo currency is set by InOut's server. At a casino you would see your own account currency instead.
Is the free demo identical to the casino version?
It is InOut's official build with the same levels, steps and cash-out rules. Stake limits and the top prize per round depend on the casino.
Can I download the Chicken Road demo as an app?
No. It runs in your browser on a phone or computer. Store apps with the same name are unrelated arcade games.
Thinking about real money?
Only where it is permitted for you, only at 18+, and only with a deposit limit and an exit rule you set before you start.
